Abstract

The Silla dynasty engaged in development through interacting with China. In particular, work hard to take advantage by exploiting the western seaway route. At first, the ‘Northern coastal route’ used. In the post-war period the unification of the three kingdoms ‘Central crossing route’ also be used. ‘Southern Division routes’, after service was made. ‘Central crossing route’ and ‘Southern Division routes’ is used in conjunction in the late Silla. Choi Chi-won, as an envoy of the Tang Dynasty is returned home. Like other envoy, he used the ‘Central crossing route’. through ‘the Dangeunpo road’, as far as he arrived in the capital Gyeongju. From 890 to 893, Choi Chi-won had been the local official. He was entrusted with local official of Daesan county and buseong county. It is near a west coast. At that time, Royal family Kim Jun ruled in hyesung county. Choi Chi-won and Kim Jun were friends, went to the Tang Dynasty as an envoy. those times, Gungye and Gyeonhwon had spread his forces. Choi Chi-won was entrusted with the local official in order to protect ‘the Dangeunpo road’. and also he tried to control the Buddhist community by Avatamska Sutra temple as Bowonsa temple. He tried to protect the Royal Family of King Gyeongmun as the local official.
