Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the possibility of using serial rubber compounds for the production of shock absorbers with a 25-year service life, including storage and operation. Four rubber compounds with different polymer bases were tested for resistance to accelerated thermal aging. During the analysis and mathematical processing of experimental data of changes occurring in the structure of rubbers in the process of aging, the regularity of changes in the rate of aging of rubbers depending on temperature was mathematically described. By means of the revealed regularity, predictive calculations of the characteristic indicators of the rubbers of each of the four compositions were made, after comparison of which a justification was given for the selected composition
