Abstract
This study analyzed the criminal response of the Chu-Kukcheong(推鞫廳) to the late Joseon Dynasty’s Malse-ron(末世論) case. The Joseon Dynasty established a legal control system for conspiracies to challenge national sovereignty, and established the Chu-Kuk-cheong. The Malse-ron case, which was a “criminal case that predicted or attempted the fall of the Joseon Dynasty based on Malse-ron such as Mi-reuk(彌勒), Saeng-bul(生佛), and Jeong-Gam-rok(鄭鑑錄),
