Abstract

Researchers working in the field of exact sciences, natural sciences as well as in humanitarian and interdisciplinary fields pay more and more attention to the issue of cyborg creation, replacement of body parts with high technology analogues in the modern society in the conditions of robust development of information and bioengineering technologies. The image of cyborg is formed under the influence of scientific developments in the area of creation of first cyber-projects, foresight researches on society cybernation on the one hand. On the other, the image of cyborg is formed by modern mass culture, which is characterized by wide audience and transition to new electronic forms (E-culture). A review of modern researches connected with understanding of the essence of cyborgs, their role in the society of the future, as well as an analysis of social and humanitarian aspects of the process of society cybernation is represented on the basis of philosophical and anthropological approach. Development of cyber-technologies is analyzed taking into consideration the most urgent issues of its consequent implementation: gender transformation, demographic transition, immortalism etc. A special attention is given to the image of cyborg in modern electronic culture: from cinema art to mass computer games. The article reveals the dynamics of the image of cyborg in mass culture production, its gradual legitimation in the consumer's consciousness which leads to the shift of ontological boundaries of human's existence and statement of new existential issues of post-identity.
