Abstract
The article is devoted to determining the stability, intensity and content of views about civic identity among university students. Civil identity of young people is a global socio- cultural problem of the post-Soviet society. In recent years, interest in the study of identity has been growing steadily. Because, through the identification of groups, the important features of modern life, the state of society in countries, social and ethnic groups are studied. The relevance of identity research is due to the need to focus society's attention on problematic situations, to objectively reflect its positive and negative aspects in order to prevent the development of xenophobia and extremism. The state of civic identity is not only a prism for looking at society, but also an important factor in mobilizing people and their solidarity. That is a reason why recently the state institutions and leaders of political directions are taking care to form a stable identity with the values they are interested in.
