Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the evolution of the national climate policy from the moment of its emergence in the USSR in the 1960s and 1970s until the end of the active phase ofcooperation betweenMoscow andWesterncountries in this area at the end of 2021. The main stages ofclimate policy,factors of evolution and impact onthe Russian economy areconsidered. It isconcludedthatthecooperation ofthe Russian Federation withWesterncountries on the issue of global warming was built on asolid foundation, whichcan become the basis for future dialogue.
