Abstract

In the article, the authors analyze the reflection of universal human values in Arslan Koychieva's novel "Mismildirik" from a literary point of view. This novel was translated into Kyrgyz language in 2009 by the publishing house «Biyiktik» in Bishkek. The national- liberation uprising of 1916, the social-historical conditions that led to it and the suffering of the people as a result of it are depicted artistically. The main characters of the novel: Mukai Kambarov, Kambar Bulash, Narboto, Karagyz Apa and others. The events of 1916 are illustrated by the fate of the small tribe of Kudayan, who inhabited the land of Bordu, and the representatives of this tribe. In this novel, the author also draws attention to universal human values that had a place in the consciousness of the Kyrgyz people at the beginning of the 20th century. According to the authors, such values are: motherhood (femininity), courage, collective responsibility, respect for elders, hospitality, sanctity of the motherland (land), patriotism.
