Abstract

The article proves the need for regular assessment of the effectiveness of business processes in the field of air transportation in order to correct them in a timely manner. The author proposes an economic and statistical model of multiple regression based on the distribution function of the profitability of key business units that create the bulk of value added in the field of air transportation, and allows to evaluate the effectiveness of their main business processes through correlation and regression analysis. At the same time, a linear relationship has been established between the profitability of business units (airports, airlines, handling companies, air navigation services) and the volume of operations carried out by them (volume of passenger traffic, fleet load intensity, tariffs for airport services and the intensity of service of route lines), and also substantiated the need to adjust the result obtained, taking into account the qualitative parameter of seasonality, which made it possible to rank the key quantitative factors that affect the profitability of business units in the field of air transportation according to the degree of influence.
