Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of formation of engineering literacy among high school students. It is shown that the project activity of a technical and natural-science orientation serves as the basis for the formation of engineering literacy. An example of the formation and development of various components of engineering literacy in a student at various stages of preparation and implementation of design and research work on the development of an improved portable refrigerator based on the Peltier eff ect is presented.
