Abstract

The purpose of this study was to present a discussion point for social welfare practice for efforts to resolve discrimination that can further supplement the legal provisions of indirect discrimination in the Disability Discrimination Act by embodying the meaning of indirect discrimination perceived by the disabled.
 To this end, data on the experiences of indirect discrimination experienced by them were collected through general qualitative research methods tageting 6 people with physical disabilities and brain lesions. data collection and analysis were conducted for about 90 minutes per 2 sessions of each study participant, and the collected data were transcribed and analyzed on units of meaning.
 As a result of the analysis, it was found that the areas of indirect discrimination experienced by the disabled are experienced under five themes: ‘one-sidedness of non-disabled support personnel', ‘doubleness caused by mandatory employment', ‘discrimination in employment relationships', ‘discrimination in schools', and ‘the problem of insufficiency of provided convenience facilities'. Based on the results of this analysis, several suggestions were presented.
