Abstract
The article highlights topical issues related to small business and microenterprises as the main subject of the region's development. The normative-legal acts in this direction are analyzed. The indicators of the turnover of small and microenterprises in the context of the subjects of the Central Federal District of Russia for 2018–2019, as well as the number of people employed in the economy, are analyzed. The infrastructural objects of support of business structures operating on the territory of the region are given. A new financial infrastructure mechanism for supporting business structures in the region is proposed.
