Abstract
The article examines the prerequisites for the emergence of inflation and inflationary expecta-tions, and tools for their minimization on the example of two federal districts - the Southern and North Cauca-sian Federal Districts and one subject of each of these districts (North Ossetia-Alania and the Republic of Crimea). The parameters of inflation and the main indicators, as well as their impact on inflation and inflation expectations are given.
