Abstract
Introduction. The paper is aimed at analyzing the concept and methods of forming land plots that exist at the present time and provided for by the current legislation. The authors seek to identify the problems of formulating a unified legal terminology that obviously has great theoretical and practical importance. Research result. The paper takes a new look at the present-day methods of land plot formation the peculiarities of setting plots on the state cadastral registration for each method. In addition, it presents the definition of the concept of “formation of land plots”, which tends to fills the gaps in domestic land and cadastral legislation. Discussion and conclusions. The results can be used to clarify and make changes in the methodology of land formation.
