Abstract

Statement of the problem. Particular interest to the study of derivational and expressive means of the language of modern poetry at the turn of 20th – 21st centuries is explained by lack of detailed studies of the issue and rise of the personal principle and expressive means in belles-letters. The purpose of this article is to analyze the dynamics of productive word-building types and models with the meaning of an agent and the representation of figurative and expressive potential of derivatives with neutral suffixes in poetic texts of modern word-painters. Materials. The research is based on literary texts of Igor Melamed, Oleg Chukhontsev, Natalia Gorbanevskaya, David Samoylov, Vladimir Strochkov, and Aleksandr Levin. Methodology. A descriptive-analytical method was used in the study, including observation, generalization, and interpretation, as well as methods of systematization and classification. Research results. The study of derivational and expressive means of the language of modern poetic texts helped to identify the most active parts of the word-formation mechanism in the sphere of proper names; to show the real and potential possibilities of traditional derivational means to generate new units and meanings.
