Abstract

The article discusses the issues of the development of the mediation institute in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The authors analyze the concepts of mediation and ethnomeditation, the experience of using mediation in resolving disputes and conflicts, and also describe the legislative framework regulating the activities of mediators in Kazakhstan. The activity of mediation offices and the results of their work in recent years are reflected. The article discusses the prospects for the development of the mediation institute and offers recommendations for improving its work. The results of the study may be useful to specialists dealing with mediation and conflict resolution in Kazakhstan.
