Abstract
The article reviews the modern epidemiological data on TB, HIV infection, TB/HIV co-infection, and the incidence of mental diseases among these patients in Russia and worldwide. We analyzed features of course and treatment of TB/HIV co-infection in patients with mental diseases or cognitive disorders. We also analyzed data on the comorbidity impact, which aggravates clinical course and prognosis of the diseases, impedes treatment, reduces treatment effectiveness in patients with TB, HIV infection, or TB/HIV co-infection associated with mental diseases.
