Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of professionalism awareness of beauty educators on core competency and job enthusiasm. The survey was conducted on 316 beauty educators who obtained national beauty qualifications in the metropolitan area. The results are as follows. First, professionalism awareness of beauty educators had a positive effect on personal characteristic factors, which are core competencies. In addition, professionalism awareness had a positive effect on the situation coping factor, which is a core competency. Professionalism awareness had a positive effect on interpersonal factors and on the professionalism factor, which is a core competency. However, intellectual ability, a sub-factor of professionalism awareness, did not affect coping with situations and interpersonal relationships. Besides, professional ethics did not affect interpersonal relationships and professionalism. Second, professionalism awareness had a positive effect on the vitality of job enthusiasm. Also, professionalism awareness had a positive effect on dedication. Professionalism awareness had a positive effect on immersion. This study confirmed that beauty educators' high competency and enthusiasm are significant variables in beauty education, contributing to the establishment of marketing strategies for the beauty education industry.
