Abstract

The article examines foreign students’ writing. The author discusses the most frequent complex sentences in foreign students’ works: with subordinate object, attributive and time clauses. The paper analyses the errors made in these sentences, the most common of which are the distortion of the syntactic construction, the choice of the wrong conjunction means, the violation of aspect-tense correlations in the parts of complex sentences, errors in verbal government and concord.
