Abstract

Formulation of the problem. Implementation of Ukraine's strategic course for integration into the European Economic Area requires reforming and reformatting of most spheres of the national economy, including the hunting industry, which is becoming more and more relevant in connectio n with specific environmental and social problems. The purpose of the article . Study of the current state of the hunting industry in Ukraine, analysis of the positive experience of European countries in the implementation of modern models of state policy i n the field of hunting and determination of the possibilities of its application in the conditions of Ukrainian realities. The purpose of the article. In addition to the problems and unresolved issues in hunting, the development of this industry is also ha mpered by the imperfection of the regulatory and legal framework. In Ukraine, the state management of the hunting economy is carried out by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, and the main organization that unites hunters is the Ukrainian Society of Hunters and Fishermen (UTMR). Studies confirm that the hunting grounds of Ukraine are characterized by low productivity compared to the grounds of other European countries. For example, the density of ungulates is only 0.06 heads/1 thousand ha, which is te n times less than in European countries. Conclusions. The importance of this industry for small local farms, especially in non industrial zones and territories, is difficult to overestimate. The development of hunting has a significant multiplier effect, a ffecting related industries, such as transport, restaurant and hotel business, crafts, food production, shooting sports, etc. hotel business, crafts, food production, shooting sports, etc.
