Abstract
The problems of environmental development of the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan are considered. The purpose of the study is to consider the results of the impact of economic activity on the ecological state of the natural environment. Methods of research – theoretical analysis, statistical analysis, logical method. Data on the main emissions of harmful substances, the structure of total expenditures on environmental protection activities, data on the neutralized polluting elements are given. The directions of ecologically sustainable development are suggested.
