Abstract

The purpose of the article is a comprehensive analysis of the adaptation experience of graduates of the specialty “Library and Information Activities” based on the results of a sociological study. The survey involved graduates of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, who received state allocation to the libraries of the Republic of Belarus in the last three years. The survey made it possible to analyze the content and organizational aspects of the adaptation process in the library, to identify its specifics; to determine the factors and patterns that affect the content and results of professional adaptation of young professionals; to assess the compliance of graduates’ expectations with the conditions and requirements of the professional environment.
