Abstract
This research paper aims at studying the phenomenon of organizational silence in the hotels’ sector, it types, reasons behind it and consequences. A questionnaire was used to collect data from a random sample of the 5-star hotels in Sharm El SheikhCity. The results showed: (1) the spread of organizational silence in hotels specially the defensive type; (2) no measures are adopted to overcome the negative consequences of this phenomenon. Recommended is the encouragement of organizational voice and listening to the opinions and suggestions of employees.
