Abstract

The article is devoted to the consideration of museum pedagogy as an instrument for expanding the educational space. Ukrainian museum pedagogy is actively seeking new forms of organization of educational activities. One of the important tasks of the approach of museum pedagogy to educational practice is the definition and testing of principles, methods, methods of work of museums with pupils and students. A whole range of museums adapt their proposals to the needs of educators, conduct consultations and trainings for teachers in order to maximize their potential of museum collections.Today, museum pedagogy takes on forms of more established practice of spiritual and moral education of the individual. Combined forms of work with students, while involving an innovative technologies, which forces students to concentrate as much as possible on the study of a particular topic and enhance the assimilation of theoretical information and motivation for learning activities. Not less important is the museum pedagogy for teachers, since it provides an opportunity to move away from classroom work and acquire new skills in their own activities. Museum pedagogy provides a true “revolution in learning”, urging students and to become active participants in their own learning, through creation, experimentation using high-tech processes and awareness of the beauty of the surrounding world through the design of museum objects. The information society contributes to any form of activity that museums must offer to the general public as well as to the scientific community.
