Abstract

The article researches ethnocultural processes among non-Russian dwellers of Biya and Katun rivers interstream region in XVII — early XX century. The research poses the problem of continuing ethnogenesis of the Siberian Russians with inclusion of indigenous people into it. The influence of Russia’s minority policy and specially realization of «Non-Russian Dwellers Governing Statute”, to ethnosocial transformations is specially studied in the article.
