Abstract
The article shows the connection of the Orthodox philosophical worldview with the tradition of Russian pedagogy, identifies problems in the field of theory and learning that attracted the attention of thinkers from Orthodox higher theological schools. The connection of Orthodox moral metaphysics with the spiritual and academic philosophy of education is justified. A selection of studies by Orthodox authors that deal with the history of pedagogy, didactics, and the practice of education is presented.
