Abstract

Тoday Russia is the largest economy in Europe and the fifth largest economy in the world. The pace and quality of growth allow stating with confidence that in the near future the country will become one of the four largest economic powers in the world. And agro-industrial complex which acts as the flagship of our country's food security plays an im-portant role in this process. It is encouraging that the industry has recently demonstrated high, outstripping development rates and is strengthening its position not only in the domes-tic market, but in the international space as well. The article examines current trends of the industry development, highlights the key growth indicators, as well as measures of state sup-port for agro-industrial complex in Russia.
