Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to analyze and clarify what effect the boxing coach’s instruction type has upon the boxing player’s exercise commitment and exercise continuance Intention.<BR> Method: The study extracted the sample with the purposive sampling of non-probable sampling method for the boxing players who use the private boxing gym. Distributing a total of 400 questionnaires, the study reviewed the collected data. We excluded 66 samples which seemed to respond with less reliability or dishonesty and selected 334 samples as the final effective samples. Statistical processing was performed using SPSS Version 21.0.<BR> Results: The final results of these research methods and procedures are as follows. First, there was a partially significant difference among the coach’s instruction type, exercise immersion and exercise continuance intention according to the demographic characteristics. Second, the boxing coach’s instruction type had a significant effect on the boxing player’s exercise immersion. Third, the boxing coach’s instruction type had a significant effect on the boxing player’s exercise continuance intention. Fourth, the boxing player’s exercise immersion had a significant effect on his exercise continuance intention.<BR> Conclusion: Summarizing these results, the boxing coach’s instruction type has a significant effect on the boxing player’s exercise commitment and exercise continuance intention.
