Abstract
농업 부문에서 온실가스 배출량을 줄이기 위하여 녹비작물인 헤어리베치와 바이오숯을 이용하였을 때 밭작물 재배지에서 아산화질소 배출량 저감 효과를 평가하였다. 질소 시용량은 고추의 표준 시비량인 <TEX>$190kg\;ha^{-1}$</TEX>이었으며, 주 2회 시료를 채취하여 GC/ECD로 아산화질소를 분석하였다. 대조구인 질소질 비료(요소) 처리구의 아산화질소 배출량은 <TEX>$1.14kg\;N_2O-N\;ha^{-1}$</TEX>이었으며, 헤어리베치와 바이오숯+질소질 비료 처리구의 아산화질소 배출량은 각각 <TEX>$0.61kg\;N_2O-N\;ha^{-1}$</TEX>과 <TEX>$0.86kg\;N_2O-N\;ha^{-1}$</TEX>로 온실가스 배출을 각각 46.5%와 24.6% 줄였다. Atmospheric nitrous oxide (<TEX>$N_2O$</TEX>) level has been increasing at a rate of 0.2~0.3% per year. The rise in <TEX>$N_2O$</TEX> concentration in atmosphere was mainly due to an increased application of nitrogen fertilizers. The objective of the study was to assess the effect of green manure crop and biochar on <TEX>$N_2O$</TEX> emissions from upland crop field. The green manure crop used in the study was hairy vetch and the cultivated crop was red pepper (Capsicum annuum L.). Nitrogen was applied at a rate of <TEX>$190kg\;ha^{-1}$</TEX>, standard N fertilization rate for red pepper. Emissions of <TEX>$N_2O$</TEX> from the field were reduced from the plots applied with hairy vetch and biochar by 46.5% and 24.6%, respectively, compared with nitrogen fertilizer treated plots with <TEX>$N_2O$</TEX> emission of <TEX>$1.14kg\;N_2O-N\;ha^{-1}$</TEX>. The results from the study imply that green manure crop and biochar can be utilized to reduce greenhouse gas emission from the upland crop field.
