Abstract

Research Purpose: This study aimed to provide baseline data for improving pediatric nursing simulation education. It developed and applied a tailored simulation practice learning module for the nursing department.
Research Period & Participants: From September 16 to October 28, 2022, 97 third-year students at C Nursing College participated, focusing on pediatric nursing simulation classes.
Research Results: After the simulation practice on bronchiolitis pediatric nursing, high scores were observed in both peer and self-evaluation. Clinical performance also showed marked improvement post-simulation education.
Recommendations: Given the inherent challenges of experiencing direct procedures in pediatric nursing, more frequent simulation-based experiences are crucial. Furthermore, there's a pressing need for ongoing development of pediatric simulation modules resembling real clinical settings.
