Abstract

For the first time, the article theoretically justifies the system of sociocultural adaptation of foreign students in higher school educational environment. The author describes forms of work with foreign students implemented by the teachers of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language, ambassadors of the Russian language and volunteers in innovation parks and within the linguistic project “International Agency ‘Slovo’ (Word)” in Petrozavodsk State University. The developed series of public events allows foreign students to adapt successfully to new educational environment.
