Abstract
The article describes the features of L. Goralik's prose miniature: its compressed volume (up to 1-2 sentences), the compression of the plot to the original concept, the importance of the reader's role as a co-author of the text, the key role of the title, which can either completely change the situation described in the work or provide several options for its interpretation. L. Goralik's stories can be a separate speech genre. Informative speech genres are used to objectify the narration. The author's assessment can become evident through the combination of informative and evaluative speech genres in one utterance. L. Goralik uses ready-made speech genres to convey verbal reactions of communicants. The determining factor in the choice of language means is not the genre-speech specificity of statements, but the author's concept of the image, which is characterized by a fundamental incompleteness. The analysis of L.Goralik's works gives an idea of the trends in the development of the modern Russian literature that destroy traditional ideas about the genre of a story.
