Abstract

The article substantiates the need for a comprehensive study of current problems of private pension provision in Ukraine. The purpose of this analysis is to create an information platform for the development of proposals to improve the efficiency of this institution of social protection. The study found the benefits of private pension provision. At the same time, a number of problems have been identified that are slowing down its spread in the country. These are the high cost of private pension provision, low incomes of working citizens and the lack of reliable financial instruments. The circle of participants of non-state pension provision is outlined. At the same time, attention is focused on the forms of pension payments made by the subjects of non-state pension provision. The quantitative characteristics of the functioning of non-state pension funds are given. Opportunities for the positive impact of the private pension system on the development of the national economy and the well-being of citizens have been revealed. This impact is realized through the use of funds that have been mobilized by the private pension system as a source of investment resources for the country's economy.
