Abstract

The article studies the importance of personality-centered approach in the training of students in the process of media education. The review of domestic and foreign scientific literature is carried out, the essence, the concepts of personality-centered approach and its role in the educational process are considered. The definitions of key words occurring in the text of the article are given. The urgency of developing critical and creative thinking, independent search and self-expression, continuous education and competitiveness of students, which are the main competences in today's digital and information society, is emphasized. In the conclusion of the article the possibilities of achieving the goal of personality-centered approach in the training of students in the process of media education are presented.
