Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the participation type of adventure sports on the characteristics of exercise addiction and behavior change. As of 2019, a total of 310 adult men and 140 women participating in adventure sports in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Gwangju were selected as the study subjects. The research tools are as follows. In order to measure motor addiction, the items used by Myungshin Cooperative (2016) were modified and supplemented. In order to measure the behavior change, the items used by Ham (2005) were modified and supplemented. The selected data were coded according to the coding guidelines, and the coded data were individually input to the computer, and frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and Reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed. The results obtained through this research procedure are as follows. First, the type of adventure sports participation was found to have a partial effect on exercise addiction. Second, the type of participation in adventure sports was found to have a partial influence on the behavioral change characteristics. Third, exercise addiction of adventure sports participants was found to partially affect behavioral change characteristics.
