Abstract

The article analyzes the problem of social exclusion and its indicators. The author considers the following approaches to understanding social exclusion: the exclusion of a person as a consequence of a difficult life situation; as a violation of the functioning of the personality subsystem; exclusion and a chain reaction and as a multidimensional concept. The article deals with the index of social exclusion (exclusion), which was developed by the Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research.
