Abstract
The article discusses the research of scientists of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in the Uyghur language about the work of Mahmut Kashgari “Diwani Lugat-it-Turk”. This dictionary was translated into Uyghur language by a group of Uyghur scholars in the early 1980s. In 2008, on the 1000th anniversary of the scientist’s birth, the dictionary was republished with corrections, including a facsimile and an index. From 1978 to 2004 alone, 240 scientific and popular science articles were published in various publications. Considering these and more recent studies available to us, it was revealed that starting from the general content of the dictionary, different thematic groups of words (12 in total), grammatical features, poems in the dictionary, proverbs, a world map and other content were written.
