Abstract
The article analyzes the effectiveness of indicators of physical education programs for schoolchildren and students. It has been established that in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the educational process, it is necessary to develop standards for assessing changes in the indicators of general physical preparedness of students from the beginning to the end of the school year. The evaluation of schoolchildren mastering the physical education program exercises requires justification for the use of special tests and standards for assessing sports movements, as well as control exercises when performing certain sections of the program.
