Abstract

The article presents the results of a study involving 40 patients exhibiting cavitation in the area of the central canal. Clinical and MRI aspects of hydromyelia are examined. The authors provide their own data on the neurological and neurovisual dynamics of this condition. The article discusses the contentious and ambiguous nature of diagnostic criteria for one variant of spinal cord cavitation — hydromyelia, which complicates prognostic assessment.
