Abstract
Objectives This study aims to explore the research trends in the field of ‘future education’ using Keyword network analysis. Methods We collected 372 keywords from 89 domestic academic papers containing the keyword “future” on the title, published from 2013 to 2022 in the domains of education. keyword network models were constructed by using NetMiner program. Keyword appearance and co-occurance frequency analysis, centrality(degree, betweeness and closeness) analysis and community structure analysis were performed. Results As a result, first, ‘competence’ and ‘teacher’ appeared to be the most extensively discussed keywords, given that both keyword appearance frequency and centrality(degree, betweeness, closeness) were highest. second, ‘school education’ turned out to play a critical role in bridging keywords since the betweeness centrality was higher than the other two centrality. thirds, 5 subnetwork communities were constructed, which were <competency-based education>, <elementary and secondary school>, <local community school>, <convergence career education> and <early childhood education>. Conclusions Based on the results of this study, the necessity of diverse and practical trials on the research in regards to future education with a deeper understanding and reflection on the meaning of “future” is suggested.
