Abstract

The purpose of this study is to derive policy priorities for revitalizing school physical education from an efficiency perspective. To this end, the four key tasks of the school physical education revitalization policy being promoted by the Ministry of Education were designed in a hierarchical structure, and relative importance and priority were derived through an AHP survey of 20 expert panels. As a result of the analysis, the importance was derived in the following order: improvement of school physical education, vitalization of school sports clubs, operation of school physical education network and improvement of awareness, and advancement of operation of school athletic clubs. On the other hand, in the results of deriving the priorities of all evaluation factors using the integrated weight, the improvement of physical activity classes and support for professional training of physical education teachers, operation of programs to promote student health and physical strength, substantialization and compulsory operation of school sports clubs, and improvement of awareness of the importance of sports activities appeared as On the other hand, support for the operation of the school athletic clubs, support for student athlete scholarships, and transparency in the operation of the school athletic clubs showed the lowest priority. Based on the above results, academic and practical implications for revitalization of school sports were provided.
