Abstract
The article raises the question of the importance of Ukrainian culture and language as a means of communication between people and information transfer, as well as a sign and feature of the national identity of Ukrainian citizens. Attention is drawn to the fact that culture and language are a marker of Ukrainianness, which ensures the preservation and development of spiritual values and national traditions, without which it is futile to hope for success in the civilization process, because thanks to these components of national identity, a full-fledged socio-cultural environment of the Ukrainian nation is formed. The role of the Ukrainian language as a state language and national culture in general, which together constitute a driving force, rallying and uniting our citizens in the struggle for independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, is emphasized. The issue of the full functioning and use of the Ukrainian language as the state language has been the object of political speculation many times, because it is known that language is not only the main feature of a person's mentality, a measure of his culture and education, but also an important consolidating factor of society, a unique tool for the formation of a national, worldview, cultural unity of Ukrainian society. Ukrainian culture and the Ukrainian language have great potential in establishing our state in the world community, as the informational and cultural space occupies an important place in the state's development strategy. The article emphasizes the relevance and importance of the multiplication of national culture and the preservation of ethno-cultural heritage and cultural heritage of Ukrainians. Culture and language not only serve as protection against the enemy, but are also a consolidating factor of the spiritual and political unity of the Ukrainian nation, especially in the modern conditions of hybrid warfare and the struggle of our state against Russian armed aggression. On the basis of theoretical and partially collected practical materials, the current situation and functioning of the Ukrainian language and the directions of the development of Ukrainian culture in the conditions of the war are analyzed.
