Abstract

The study attempted to prove the effects on employee's problem solving confidence of employees faced with many difficulties when they performed the duties and the meaning of their work to task performance. Also, this study reviews the change oriented leadership of supervisor is responsible as a moderating variable between these relationship. Data were collected using questionnaires distributed to employees and their supervisor. Statistical computation of 390 questionnaires were done on the spss. As the result of the hierarchical regression analysises, problem solving confidence was significant and positively associated with task performance. and meaning of work was significant and positively associated with task performance, too. Therefore H1, H2 were supported. Finally task performance was predicted by interaction of problem solving confidence by change oriented leadership, but predicting a moderating effect of meaning of work was not supported. In conclusion, meaningfulness of work can facilitate both their personal growth and their work motivation and lead to excellence work performance. Confident employees about some problems or difficulties are sensitive to their environments, open to new information and points of view, and leading good task performance. We need to let employees have self-problem confidence and meaningful of their work that may significantly impact their job performance. For managers who were viewed as change leadership were found to be associated with higher effects of task performance.
