Abstract

The Republic of Uzbekistan is historically distinguished by high demographic indicators. Despite the relative decline in the birth rate during 1990-2020-th, in the republic, in general, there are positive trends in population growth. Thus, the population of the republic has grown from 24,591,900 in 2000 to 34,036,800 people in 2021. In this regard, one of the priority tasks of the country's socio-economic development is the creation and increase in the number of jobs and employment of a growing number of the population, which occupy a central place in national and regional development programs. The author examines the possibilities and role of foreign capital in solving this problem.
