Abstract

The first prose piece by Alexander Bestuzhev Journey to Revel is traditionally considered in the context of literary travelogues and compared with Nikolai Karamzin’s Letters of the Russian Traveler and Dupaty’s Lettres sur l’Italie en 1785.
