Abstract
The paper aims to develop unified principles of polysemants codification in a special type of the dictionary - explanatory and word-formative. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the authors propose a new approach to the problem of polysemantic composites representation in such a dictionary. The researchers’ attention is focused on analysing semantic relations of polysemantic derivatives. A structural-semantic analysis of polysemants allows identifying peculiarities of their codification. The research findings justify the necessity to include special “word-formation” sections into a dictionary entry in order to achieve more accurate representation of polysemantic derivatives.
