Abstract

Summary. The purpose of this article is to consider the features of the language training of foreign students at the university and the main directions of its development at the present stage. The object of the research is the process of teaching foreign students at the university. The subject of the research is the content of the methodology and the organization of the process of mastering the language and teaching foreign students. The main research methods are analysis of scientific literature, questionnaires, testing, conversation with participants in the educational process, analysis of the content of curricula in major disciplines and curricula for the preparation of foreign students, studying the experience of teaching foreigners, taking into account their professional orientation. The practical significance of the research lies in the development and substantiation of pedagogical ways to improve the foreign language training of students and the conditions for their implementation in the educational process of a modern university, the application of research data in the development of educational and methodological support, methodological materials and lecture courses for foreign students. The research results can be used in the process of designing a learning model and adaptation of foreign students, in developing a concept for the development of language training for foreign students, aimed at improving the system itself, improving the quality of education and training highly qualified specialists. The paper draws conclusions about the effectiveness of the application of new modern directions and approaches in order to develop and improve the system of language training for foreign students.
