Abstract

The article deals with the question of the importance and necessity of formation of professional interest among foreign students of preparatory departments of universities in the process of language training. This is due to the modern conditions of development of Ukraine, the improvement of the higher education system. On the agenda there is a question of improving the quality of training of foreigners to study in universities of Ukraine. During the language training, students learn Russian (Ukrainian) language for the purpose of practical mastery of a foreign language as a tool of the professional activity. For foreign students Russian (Ukrainian) as a foreign language is not only an academic subject, but also a means of professional education. One of the conditions of professional formation of the future experts, means of obtaining the necessary knowledge to improve the quality of training is the need of formation of professional interest in the process of language training. Noting the unconditional value of research, it can be stated that there is an insufficient level of development of theoretical and practical problems of formation of professional interest among foreign students in the process of language training. There are contradictions between the modern requirements for the foreign people for admission to higher educational institutions of Ukraine and the real level of training of graduates of preparatory departments; between the need for the formation of professional interest and the insufficient level of scientific and methodological support of the process in the preparatory departments. Therefore, questions of theoretical and practical solution to the problem of formation of professional interest among foreign students require scientific development. The paper also draws attention to the peculiarities of the foreign language training of students of preparatory departments; briefly describes the modern concept of professional interest; the relevance of the development of didactic conditions of realization of the process of formation of professional interest.
