Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discover whether or not a measuring item of empowerment was applicable to the people with disabilities. The study aimed at people with disabilities who had been living in B city, U city, and K province and had been participating in sports for all. Data from 423 research subjects were collected by purposive method and were used for the final data treatment of the study. Questionnaires used in this study were questionnaires by Lee Hyun-Su (2008). The collected data were analyzed by SPSS version 23.0 program and the Amos version 23.0 program, which resulted in the following results. First, Exploratory factor analysis showed that for people with disabilities, the three-factor scael was suitable for 31 questions except for individual level 8 and social level 1. Second, the confirmed factor analysis showed that each NFI, TLI, and CFI values were appropriate for 21 questions except for individual level 5, group level 3, and social level 2. Therefore, it has been verified that the empowerment measurement item is applicable to the physically disabled.
