Abstract

Dmitry Bobrok's name stands on a par with his great contemporary, whom he served throughout his life — Grand Duke Dmitry Donskoy, who was canonized at the Local Cathedral in 1988. Dmitry Bobrok was an example of genuine service to national interests, the expression of which was the Prince of Moscow. His devotion and loyalty brought him lasting military glory. Having no defeats in military battles, Dmitry Bobrok became a symbol of victory for his contemporaries. His image is of such interest for research as the image of a Christian warrior in hagiographic literature. Based on the cycle of stories about the Battle of Kulikovo, it is argued that the victory in this battle after the victory of Peresvet was largely determined by the actions of Dmitry Bobrok, the commander of the ambush regiment, led by Prince Vladimir Serpukhovskoy.
