Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the specifics of an electronic business letter as a dialogic genre in network communication. The differences between a traditional business letter and its electronic version are indicated. The exchange of business correspondence via e-mail is considered as a communicative situation of dialogic interaction between the addresser and the addressee. The correlation of initiating business emails with stimulus cues, and reactive ones with response cues of natural (primary) dialogue is established, and the means of expressing dialogicity in business emails are analyzed.
